DEM has taught me many things and has given me many life lessons but the biggest and the most memorable thing DEM taught me was to be ambitious. Work hard and follow your dreams and let nothing stand in your way of your goals.
-
DEM to me is like a second family. A place that I feel safe and welcomed. A place filled with people who got my back and I theirs . A place filled with happiness and ambition.

I didn’t expect much before joining DEM, but I was surprised that DEM pushed me to become a more organized and confident person. Through DEM I created new friendships where I can relate to fellow pre-health majors and have brothers and sisters who are always willing to help.

ΔΕΜ taught me that when it comes to success and achieving goals that seem far from reach, it needs to be done with the support of others. The many people I’ve met and leaned on for support have helped me to the position of readiness I am. Being in ΔΕΜ has made me more confident in myself because I know my brothers, sisters, and friends will always be there for me.

What Delta Epsilon Mu taught me is how to work amongst my peers to strive toward a common goal. I was given real world situations where I was challenged to grasp the concept of teamwork and individuality. Concurrently, I was given the opportunity to expand my connections and create lifelong relationships with the amazing members of Delta Epsilon Mu. :)

Transferring into a new college while online was tough for me, but DEM made it an experience I will never forget. I have developed friendships with so many hard-working and fun people, and I learned to improve many professional skills to grow as a future healthcare provider.

ΔEM has enabled me to grow as an individual through a variety of aspects such as professionalism, ambition, confidence, and the exhibition of our four pillars: loyalty, dedication, friendship, and support - all of which contribute to the pursuit of my future endeavors, especially that of an aspiring health care professional. Not only was I able to create new friendships and bonds, through which I was able to expand my view on the wide array of possibilities and opportunities that can be achieved through hard work and cooperation, but I’m happy to know that I’ll always be continuously learning from and growing with my fellow brothers and sisters.
